CALGARY, Alta. – Hockey Canada and Blademaster announced Wednesday they have renewed their Official Supplier Agreement, through the end of the 2013-14 season.

Blademaster has been Hockey Canada’s official supplier of skate sharpeners, skate repair machines, glove dryers and skate ovens since 2001, serving all of Canada’s national teams at events around the world. In addition to serving as an official supplier to Hockey Canada, Blademaster's skate sharpeners and accessories are used extensively by professional equipment managers and sporting goods retailers throughout the world.

"Blademaster is honoured to serve the skate care needs of a first-class organization like Hockey Canada,” said John Mariconda, director of sales and marketing for Blademaster. “We are long-time partners and look forward to continuing the relationship for many more years to come."

"With Hockey Canada's national teams traveling the world and competing against the best, it is imperative that we have the best equipment available to us,” said Brad Pascall, Hockey Canada’s vice-president of hockey operations/national teams. “Skating is the core of Team Canada's success and we rely on Blademaster machines to provide our teams with the best skate sharpening technology available in the marketplace."
