VANCOUVER, B.C. – The rematch that everyone wanted has been set for Sunday at GM Place. Canada’s National Women’s Team defeated Sweden 7-2 on Saturday night at the Hockey Canada Cup to advance to Sunday’s gold medal game. Canada will face the United States, which earlier in the day defeated Finland 4-0. The gold medal final will be held at GM Place, starting at 7:30 p.m. PT.

Sarah Vaillancourt and Hayley Wickenheiser each had two goals for Canada in the win over Sweden.

The Canada-USA game will be a rematch of Thursday night’s game, which the United States won by a score of 4-2. The gold medal final will be shown on TSN at 9 p.m. PT/midnight ET.

Tickets for the final are available at www.ticketmaster.ca. More than 5,000 seats have already been sold and Hockey Canada would like to remind fans that the upper bowl will be closed off.

Tickets are also available for the bronze medal game, which will feature Finland and Sweden.
