Single-Game Tickets for 2008 World Junior A Challenge on Sale Monday

CAMROSE, AB – With less than a month to go until the start of the 2008 World Junior A Challenge, the host committee has announced that single-game tickets are now on sale for the tournament, set for November 2-9 at the Edgeworth Centre in Camrose, AB.

Single-game ticket prices are as follows:

Preliminary round: $18
Semifinals: $23
Bronze medal game: $28
Gold medal game: $33

Full tournament packages are still available for the 2008 World Junior A Challenge. 1st Star ($499), 2nd Star ($249) and 3rd Star ($199) packages are all available through Ticketmaster at

Tickets are also still available for the opening ceremony on Saturday, November 1, which will feature a concert by Canadian legend Tom Cochrane. A gold circle ticket is available for $70, while a regular ticket is available for $50. Both prices do not include applicable service charges. In addition to single-game tickets, Hockey Canada, Hockey Alberta and Camrose Minor Hockey also announced some of the development activities that will take place around the 2008 World Junior A Challenge.

On Friday, October 31, Hockey Canada will host a Coaches Specialty Clinic at the Edgeworth Centre, with as many as 50 local-area coaches taking part in a 90-minute classroom session, followed by a 90-minute on-ice session. On Saturday, November 1, the Edgeworth Centre will play host to a Hockey Canada Skills Development Camp, with players from the Atom and Peewee divisions taking part.
