CALGARY, AB - Canada's National Women's Team will face Team USA in two games in Salt Lake City, UT (Oct.) and in San Jose, CA (Oct.), the Canadian Hockey Association announced on Thursday.

This will mark the first meeting of the two Women's hockey powers since the Championship game at the 2001 IIHF Women's World Hockey Championship in Minneapolis, which Canada won 3-2 to win its seventh straight World Championship.

Canada's National Women's Team has won all seven Women's World Hockey Championships and captured a silver medal at the 1998 Winter Olympic Games in Nagano, Japan. Top players from across Canada have been centralized in Calgary, AB since in preparation of the 2002 Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City, USA.
