The Canadian Hockey Association and NIKE/Bauer NIKE Hockey unveiled four new jerseys this fall, that pay
tribute to past Canadian hockey heroes and teams.
The new version of the traditional home' white and away' red jerseys, which all teams will wear at
international competitions, have the Canadian Hockey Association logo on the front and the heritage patch on
each shoulder.
The patch takes on additional importance with the first time introduction of a third jersey, that Canada's
Olympic Teams will use a limited number of times, and not until February 2002. This third jersey is a full
red jersey with the heritage patch on the front of the jersey, and the CHA logo on both shoulders.
A fourth jersey, a fan's jersey, is a full black jersey with the heritage patch on the front of the
jersey, and the CHA logo on both shoulders. This jersey will not be worn by any of
Canada's teams.
The heritage patch, a consistent mark for each of Canada's four new jerseys, recognizes the
accomplishments and achievements of teams that have represented Canada internationally in both men's and
women's hockey.
