  • Born on October 17, 1958 in Laval, Que.
  • Named assistant chef de mission for Canada’s Olympic Team for the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi.
  • She has been teaching physical education at the Cégep du Vieux-Montréal for the past eight years
  • Is a technical consultant for the Carabins (University of Montreal’ women’s hockey team) since 2008.
  • Since its creation, the team has taken part in two Canadian Championships finishing fifth in 2010 and winning a silver medal in 2012.
  • For the past two seasons, France has taken part in a mentorship program set up by the International Ice Hockey Federation working mainly with the French national junior team. 
  • After earning a bachelor’s degree in physical education, France was a teacher for 14 years at the elementary and high school levels.
