Corbin Watson earned his first international shutout as the Canadians wrapped up a sweep of the Asian side with a lopsided win. Bradley Bowden had five points in the win, while Greg Westlake added four of his own.

With Canada playing its 100th international game since becoming a part of Hockey Canada in 2004, Billy Bridges scored three times – including his 100th career goal – and added four assists in a one-sided victory.

Greg Westlake, Marc Dorion, Jeremy Booker and Brad Bowden scored the goals and Benoit St-Amand earned the shutout as Canada’s National Sledge Team defeated Korea 4-0 on Sunday afternoon in exhibition action in Surrey, B.C.

 

CANADA 0 – UNITED STATES 3 EXHIBITION | SAT. OCT. 31

Canada held the advantage in shots on goal, but a pair of first-period goals were too much to overcome as it was blanked by the Americans. The loss evens the home-and-home series with the U.S. at two wins apiece.

Jean Labonté, who has been captain of Canada’s National Sledge Team since the 2007-08 season, will wear the ‘C’ once again in 2009-10, leading the Canadians towards Vancouver and the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games. » more
