TORONTO () - TSN's coverage of Canada's 5-3 come-from behind win over Sweden in yesterday's gold medal game from Prague was the highest rated IIHF Men's World Hockey Championship game ever on TSN with a total national audience of 1,142,000 viewers* to both the live and encore broadcast combined (live at 2:30 p.m. ET - 963,000 viewers; encore at 7:30 p.m. ET - 179,000 viewers).
Audience levels peaked at 1,087,000 viewers during the final 30 minutes of

the game from 4:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. ET. With an additional 128,000 viewers watching the gold medal game live on RDS, a total of 1,270,000 Canadians watched Canada win its second straight World Hockey Championship title.

TSN's live coverage of Canada's 2-1 semifinal win against Slovakia on Saturday, May 8 at 10 a.m. ET was the network's highest rated World Championship semifinal game with 422,000 viewers. An additional 211,000 viewers tuned in at 7:30 p.m. ET for the game's encore presentation. TSN's coverage of Team Canada at this year's IIHF Men's World Hockey Championship (9 games) averaged 399,000 viewers (live and encore combined) - a three per cent increase from last year's World Hockey Championship, which drew 386,000 viewers (live and encore combined).
