2005 National Midget Championship

The 2004-2005 season is the Commandeurs de Lévis’ eight in the Quebec Midget AAA League. The season is a nice page was written in the history of the entire organization and all the players who mostly hail from the Chaudière-Appalaches region.

During the season, the Commandeurs took part in the Drummondville International Midget Tournament. After putting up two wins and one loss, they fell to the Pittsburgh Hornets in the quarter finals.

The team ended the regular season in 3rd place in the Reebok Division, 5th overall in the Midget AAA League with a total of 25 wins, 16 losses, one of which came following a shoot out, for a total of 51 points in 42 games. During the playoffs, they eliminated the Blizzard of the Séminaire St-François (quarter final), the Gaulois du Collège Antoine-Girouard (semi final) and the Cantonniers de Magog (final), thus winning their Division for the first time in their history. The Commandeurs then took part in the final of the Quebec Midget AAA League Championship, a first for them against the Intrépide de Gatineau.

Such performances won them the right to take part in their first ever Telus Cup Tournament, the emblem of the National Midget Hockey Championship.
