2004 National U18 Club Championship

HOST 1 - QUEBEC 8

April 24, 2004
Kenora, ON

The home town Stars knew with the results of the earlier games, that they had finished in the top four in the standings. Quebec had already clinched the number one seed, but had a perfect 4-0 streak that they would like to keep intact. With everything already decided, this game was a preview of tomorrow’s semi-final. Quebec took it to Kenora in the first period out shooting them 19-5, and outscoring them 3-0. The second period was much the same as Quebec added to their lead with two more goals. Kenora was able to sneak one in before the buzzer at 19:59 of the second period. Quebec was not done in the scoring department, as they peppered young Kenora netminder Neil Sidders with 17 third period shots, and scored on three of them. College Charles-Leymone went a perfect 5-0, and finished tops in the round robin. Kenora finishes in fourth spot, and will face Quebec again tomorrow in the first semi-final of the day.
