  • Chairperson for the first women’s world hockey tournament in 1987
  • Sat on the steering committee for the 1990 IIHF World Women’s Championship
  • Chairperson for the 1997 IIHF World Women’s Championship
  • Chairperson for the 2000 IIHF World Women’s Championship
  • Chairperson for the 2002 4 Nations Cup
  • Chairperson for the 2006 4 Nations Cup
  • Chairperson for the 2007 National Women’s Under-18 Championship
  • Chairperson for the 2008 National Women’s Under-18 Championship
  • Chairperson for the 2013 IIHF World Women’s Championship
  • Was first executive director of the OWHA in 1975
  • Has been involved with Hockey Canada’s Female Council since its inception in 1982
  • Sat on the Ontario Hockey Association Board of Directors from 1982-95
  • Has been a sitting member or alternate on the Ontario Hockey Federation Board of Directors since 1989
  • Was a member of the Hockey Development Centre for Ontario Board of Directors for 11 years
  • Spent four years as a member of the Canadian Women’s Hockey League Board of Directors
  • Played an influential role in the addition of women’s hockey to the Ontario Winter Games
  • Has served as chairperson for a number of Ontario provincial championships
  • Spent 10 years as tournament director for the Dominion Ladies Hockey Tournament
  • Has attended numerous women’s hockey events as a guest of the International Ice Hockey Federation
  • Played in the Central Ontario Women’s Hockey League for 10+ years
  • Wrote the foreword for “Proud Past, Bright Future: 100 Years of Canadian Women’s Hockey”

  • Received Ontario Ministry of Culture and Citizenship Contribution to Sport Award in 1998
  • First female recipient of the Hockey Canada Order of Merit in 1994
  • Received the OHA Gold Stick Award in 1992
  • Runner-up team at Esso Women’s Nationals was presented the Fran Rider Cup
