Canada's National Under-22 women's hockey team remained undefeated at the European Air Canada Cup with an 8-0 win over Switzerland on Friday.

Captain Carla McLeod (three assists) and Meghan Hunter (one goal, two assists) led Canada's attack, while Rachel Barrie was solid between the pipes, stopping all 11 shots she faced.

Canada took a 4-0 lead after 20 minutes of play thanks to goals from Valerie Hall, Brigittte Laflamme, Becky Klein-Swormink and Jackie Friesen.

In the second period, Hall added her second goal of the game to give Canada a commanding 5-0 lead heading into the final period.

Hunter's first of two third period goals gave Canada a 6-0 lead early in the period. Gina Kingsbury and Hunter's second score rounded out the scoring and made it an 8-0 final.
Canada, sitting at 2-0, will be guaranteed first place with a Finland victory over Germany tonight.

Canada's next game at the Eurpean Air Canada Cup will be Saturday when they face Germany at 11:00am (EST) in Hannover, Germany.
