Ticket Information

Q: Where can I buy tickets for the 2016 IIHF Women’s World Championship? 
A: Tickets are on sale at www.hockeycanada.ca/tickets.

Q: Are tickets still available for all games? 
A: Currently, tickets are available for all games except the Canada-United States game on March 28, and the gold medal game on April 4. Stay tuned for further information regarding more tickets being released at a later date.

Q: Are tickets printed as individual tickets or a tournament pass?
A: You will receive individual tickets for every game. It is assigned seating at the Sandman Centre, and general admission, with no assigned seating, at the McArthur Island Sport & Event Centre.

Q: Where can I pick up my tickets?
A: You can pick up your tickets at the Sandman Centre box office.

Q: I purchased a single ticket online and it says ‘print at home.’ What does that mean?
A: If you purchased a ticket online, you will receive an email with your ticket. Please print the ticket out and bring it with you to the arena.

Parking

Q: Where can I park?
A: There are a few private lots near the Sandman Centre. Please note, they are paid lots.

Q: Is there any cost for parking, or the ability to purchase a parking pass valid for both arenas?
A: There is no cost for parking at McArthur Island. Parking at the Sandman Centre is limited and is paid parking. Unfortunately, parking is in private lots, controlled by the City of Kamloops. Advanced parking passes are not offered.

Transportation

Q: Are there shuttles between venues?  
A: There will be free shuttles for anyone that has same-day game tickets or accreditation. Shuttles will run every 30 minutes from the Sandman Centre and every 15 minutes from McArthur Island (from B.C. Transit's North Shore Exchange) on game days. Service will run from 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. for the Sandman Centre, and 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. for the North Shore Exchange. Q: Are there other ways to get to the venues?
A: B.C. Transit is providing shuttle service to McArthur Island, and extended service on game days. From March 28-April 4, all transit is free for same-day ticket holders and IIHF-accredited staff, volunteers, and media. Merchandise

Q: Will there be tournament merchandise?
A: Yes, there will be exclusive tournament merchandise on sale during the 2016 IIHF Women’s World Championship at both the Sandman Centre (outside on the main plaza, as well as inside the east corner) and McArthur Island Sport & Event Centre (main lobby).

Broadcast Schedule

Q: Will games be broadcast?
A: TSN is the exclusive broadcast partner of Hockey Canada. Eleven games will be broadcast live from the 2016 IIHF Women’s World Championship. Check local listings for broadcast times and channels in your area.

Daily Events

Q: Is there anything else going on around town?
A: During the 2016 IIHF Women’s World Championship, Kamloops will also host three B.C. Hockey provincial championships (www.bchockey.net for more information), as well as the Western Shield senior women’s championship.

Road to Gold

Q: What is the Road to Gold?
A: The Road to Gold is an eight-day, eight-location party! Downtown Kamloops will host eight different country houses; each house will feature food, drinks, and entertainment built around the country they are hosting. As you enter each establishment you will receive a Molson passport. Collect stamps at all eight locations, and you can be entered to win a trip for two to the 2017 IIHF World Junior Championship.

Q: What are the dates?
A: The Road to Gold begins March 28 and runs through April 4.

Q: Who is performing?
A: There will be live performances at Canada House every night from March 28-April 2. A full list of performances will be available in the coming days.

Q: How do I get in?
A: You must have a game ticket to gain entry into Canada House. All other houses are free entry, as long as space permits.

Practices

Q: Can I watch teams practice?
A: No, all practices are closed to the public.
