TEAM RED CAPTURES NATIONAL
WOMEN’S TEAM FALL FESTIVAL
IN SPECTACULAR FASHION

Kenora, ON – The town of Kenora gave the National Women’s Team Fall Festival a spectacular send-off on Saturday night, filling the Kenora Recreational Centre with 2006 fans for the Championship Game between Team Red and Team Black.

TEAM WHITE SPLIT SQUAD 3 ON 3 GAME GOES TO SHOOTOUT

Kenora, ON – As the team that finished in third place in the National Women’s Team Fall Festival, Team A (White) played in a consolation game on Friday evening, just prior to the Championship Game. The team was split into two squads for a 3 on 3 game with some special rules, including two 25-minute running time periods and penalty shots for all penalties. Players charged with penalties return to their own benches and miss one shift. The player fouled on the infraction is noted and gets a penalty shot at the end of the period. The Red split squad, on a shootout goal by Cheryl Pounder, registered a 6-5 win over the White split squad. » more
