Canada remains positive after 3-1 loss

The Russians stopped Canada cold with a 3-1 victory in the third game of the World Junior Championships on Friday. Although the defeat is a massive setback Team Canada remains convinced they could win the World Junior Hockey Championships. "We played really well and had a lot of scoring chances," says Jamie Lundmark, center for the National Junior team. "Our team is getting better every day." Alexander Buturlin, scored one for Russia in the second period and one more in the third. Canada rallied with a goal by Steve McCarthy but was soon finished off by Ilia Kovaltchuk with an empty-netter in the last 34 seconds of the game. It was a disappointing finish in what could be a crucial game for Canada. However as Lundmark says "We cannot feel bad about this game. We will meet up with them latter on and beat them then."
