X-TREME WINS BRONZE IN CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP Charlottetown, PEI – Hayley Wickenheiser had two goals and an assist to lead the Calgary Oval X-Treme to a 5-2 win over the Minnesota Whitecaps in the bronze medal game of the club championship at the Esso Women’s Nationals. Gina Kingsbury and Carla MacLeod also scored for Calgary, which held period leads of 1-0 and 4-0. Kristin King and Angela Ruggiero scored in the third period to give Minnesota some life, but MacLeod’s shorthanded goal at 7:00 sealed the win for Calgary.
