The Aeros struck for three goals in the first 5:50 en route to the shutout win.

Kelly Bechard, Myria Heinhuis and Lara Perks scored in the first period. Team Nova Scotia was led by goaltender Jillian MacIsaac, who stopped 14 of 17 shots in the first. The score could have been more lopsided had it not been for the work of MacIsaac.

Haley Irwin paced the Aeros with three goals and Bechard and Jen Botterill each finished with two goals.

Sarah Love stopped 14 shots for the shutout.
