The first period had no scoring, but it did feature some good shots and exciting end-to-end play.  When the second period began, it took all of 45 seconds for Haley Irwin of Host Ontario to break open the scoring.  Team Quebec tied it up at the 3:02 mark as Angela Ruggiero lifted a shot over the glove side of Sami Jo Small.  Thirty seconds later it was Ruggiero picking up her second of the game and giving her team the lead for the first time in the game.  Assists went to Catherine Bertrand and Lisa-Marie Breton.

A short time later, the Host team had a 3 on 1 scoring chance; the Quebec tender blocked the first shot then caught and held the second shot, resulting in a stoppage of play.  They did tie the game at the 10:19 mark when Haley Irwin took a pass from Susan Hobson from just outside the Quebec blue line.  She skated in with it and let go a shot that beat Labonté as she was going down.   Team Quebec regained the lead with 52 seconds left in the second period on a Cathy Chartrand goal with the lone assist to Annie Desrosiers.

In the third period, Team Quebec took a two-goal lead just a little over five minutes into the period.  Scoring was Leanne Martel from Lisa-Marie Breton and Annie Desrosiers.  During the final 10 minutes of the game, Team Quebec found themselves playing in their own end.  Host Ontario pulled Small during the final minute of play, but play was stopped and Small returned to the net when Danielle Ashley was given a minor for slashing.

Kicking out 17 shots for Host Ontario was Sami Jo Small while her counter part, Charline Labonté made 36 saves.Players of the Game for Host Ontario was Haley Irwin while Angela Ruggiero took the honours for Team Quebec.
