ALBERTA GRABS GOLD AFTER ONTARIO LOCKS UP BRONZE

Dana Pretty's first goal of the tournament proved to the deciding goal as Team Alberta won the 2001 Esso Women's National Hockey Championship. Pretty beat Team Quebec goaltender Kim St. Pierre at 14:58 of the second period, providing Team Alberta with a 1-0
victory.
