2001 National U18 Club Championship

HISTORY

  • The Midget AAA League is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.
  • It was founded in 1976 by MM. Bob Chevalier and Brian McKeown. Mr. Bob Chevalier is President and owner of the Sainte-Foy Gouverneurs.
  • The team won its first cup, which was called the Wrigley Cup, in 1978. It won its last Air Canada Cup in 1996, in Kamloops.
  • The Sainte-Foy Gouverneurs are taking part in the Air Canada Cup for the 12th time in addition to their participation in the 1978 Wrigley Cup.
  • The team won the last Wrigley cup in 1978 and the first Air Canada Cup in 1979.
