CANADA’S NATIONAL SLEDGE TEAM TO PLAY THREE-GAME SERIES AGAINST KOREA IN SURREY, B.C.

CALGARY, Alta. – Canada’s National Sledge Team will face Korea in a three-game exhibition series later this month, in preparation for the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games. The three games will take place January 17, 18 and 19 on Rink 3 at the Surrey Sport and Leisure Complex (16555 Fraser Highway).

This marks the first time Canada’s sledge team will take to the ice in competition since the Paralympic roster was announced on January 4.

The series will be one of the last opportunities for fans to see Canada in action ahead of the 2010 Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver, B.C., which begin on March 12. Canada is attempting to defend the gold medal it won at the 2006 Paralympics in Turin, Italy.

January 19 – 1:30 p.m.
