The 2014 World Junior A Challenge host organizing committee is very pleased to announce SaskEnergy as its Champion of Volunteers.  As the official volunteer sponsor, SaskEnergy is inviting hockey fans to join the volunteer team.

The host committee made the official call for volunteers during Kindersley’s annual Goose Festival on Thursday, Sept. 25. Applications are now being accepted for more than 200 volunteer positions at the tournament, which runs from Dec. 14-20 at the West Central Events Centre.

“We are very proud to have SaskEnergy sponsor our volunteer program for the 2014 World Junior A Challenge,” said Rocky Perkins, co-chair of the host committee. “This is a great opportunity for our community to shine as we welcome the world in December.”

“SaskEnergy is proud to sponsor major events like the World Junior A Challenge,” said Shannon Doka, community involvement leader for SaskEnergy. “We have been Saskatchewan’s Champion of Volunteers for over a decade, helping thousands of volunteers come together to make events like this a possibility in our province. The 2014 World Junior A Challenge encompasses many of SaskEnergy’s values: volunteerism, sports excellence, and youth activity – so it’s a great fit for us.”
