TOP REGULAR SEASON TEAM – MID ISLE WILDCATS
It was a tale of two seasons for the Mid Isle Wildcats. Through the first month of its schedule, the team sat in third place with a 2-3-1 record. But over the final two-thirds of the year the Wildcats lost only once (11-1-6) – a stretch that included a 14-game unbeaten streak – to lock up their second consecutive PEIFMAAAHL regular season title. One year after relying on a better plus/minus to break a tie atop the standings with the Central Storm, Mid Isle finished four points clear of the pack. The team also once again put up the best plus/minus in the league at +36, and averaged just over four goals a game. Fourteen times during the 24-game season the Wildcats scored five or more goals.
