TOP REGULAR SEASON TEAM – CALGARY FIRE
After several seasons of having at least two teams in the Alberta Major Midget Female Hockey League, Calgary reset itself as just the Fire in 2014-15 and came away with the best regular season record in the now 10-team league. The Fire used winning streaks of five, six and 10 games to finish eight points clear of the Red Deer Chiefs, hosts of the 2015 Esso Cup. Only one player ranked among the top 10 in league scoring, but 11 players put up at least 10 points for the Fire and 16 players scored at least one goal. That balance was reflected in the team’s scoring stats, with Regan Wright leading the way in points (32), Tianna Ko in goals (20) and Chantal Ricker in assists (17). Alicia Anderson and Zoe DeBeauville shared time in the crease and combined for 14 shutouts. Anderson surrendered a league-low 15 goals and posted an AMMFHL-best 0.91 goals against average.
