TOP REGULAR SEASON TEAM – TORONTO YOUNG NATIONALS
Make it back-to-back-to-back regular season GTHL championships for the Toronto Young Nationals, who geared up for hosting the Central Regional by losing just three times in 33 games to finish five points up on the Toronto Jr. Canadiens. The defending GTHL and Central Region champions, the Young Nationals got off to a fast start, posting a 19-game undefeated streak (17-0-2) from Oct. 12-Dec. 20 to open up a big lead atop the standings. Toronto’s offence was good, leading the GTHL with 123 goals in 33 games, but its defence was spectacular; the Young Nationals gave up just 43 goals (1.30 goals per game), 20 less than any other team.
