It is with profound sadness that we at Hockey Canada come to realize the great loss suffered by the family and friends of Jim Johannson. In his time with USA Hockey, Jim epitomized the essence of excellence in sport leadership, and that impact was felt with us here at Hockey Canada.

Jim was a leader, a visionary and a friend. We will miss him. It is difficult to describe what this loss means to the game worldwide – that was the man’s reach. His impact will long be felt at every level of the game.

To Jim’s family and friends, we offer you strength from a humble Hockey Canada. To his colleagues at USA Hockey, we offer continued support in the spirit of one of the game’s finest. We will honour Jim always.
