TOP REGULAR SEASON TEAM – COBRAS DE TERREBONNE
The Cobras de Terrebonne will host the Fred Page Cup in late April, and they geared up for the East Region tournament by claiming the regular-season title in the LHJQ; the Cobras edged Collège Français de Longueuil on a tiebreaker (44 wins to 43) after both teams finished with 88 points to top their respective divisions. After a Dec. 4 defeat at the hands of Longueuil – its fourth in a span of 12 games – Terrebonne rolled off 22 consecutive victories before a loss in its season finale. The Cobras outscored the rest of the LHJQ, netting 315 goals in 49 games, but was just as good at the other end of the rink, allowing only 149. They also iced the league’s best penalty-killing unit, finishing as the only team with an 80% success rate (84.7). Benjamin Bohémier carried the offensive load for Terrebonne, racking up 106 points (good for third in the league), one of 10 Cobras who averaged at least a point per game. Jérémy Bélisle was the workhorse in goal, finishing second in the LHJQ in wins (25), goals-against average (2.74) and save percentage (.907).
