TOP REGULAR SEASON TEAM – MISSISSAUGA REBELS
For the second season in a row the Mississauga Rebels finished the regular season atop the GTHL, using a
10-2-1 run after the calendar turned to 2012 to earn a four-point cushion over Vaughan. The Rebels enter the
postseason looking for a repeat of last year – after winning the GTHL’s regular season title, Mississauga
added the playoff crown to its collection and reached the semifinals of the Central Regional before bowing
out to Ottawa. The Rebels finished with 125 goals in the 36-game regular season, good for fourth in the
12-team GTHL, but it was their defence that led the way – Mississauga allowed a league-low 57 goals.
