TOP REGULAR SEASON TEAM – PRINCE ALBERT MINTOS
The 20 national champions survived a four-team race to the finish line, claiming top spot in the
Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League thanks to a 2-0-1-1 head-to-head record with the Saskatoon Contacts,
with whom the Mintos finished equal on points and wins. Prince Albert’s offence didn’t blow teams away – it
scored 174 goals in 44 games, good for sixth in the SMAAAHL – but their defence was solid, allowing just 110
goals, the league’s second-best mark. Brennen Bosovich racked up 69 points to finish third in league scoring,
one of just two Mintos in the top 20, while goaltenders Taran Kozun and Dawson MacAuley posted the league’s
third- and fourth-best goals against averages, respectively.
