Toronto, ON – Knowledgeable and opinionated hockey fans wanted. That’s the sign being hung outside the doors of the upcoming Molson Canadian World Hockey Summit in Toronto, where the world’s hockey leaders will convene later this month to dissect the current state of hockey and identify and address key concerns and issues facing the game today. Fans of the game have 10 days left to register and reserve a seat at the table alongside a who’s who of the sport to have THEIR issues, concerns and ideas discussed, debated and actioned.

“We’re looking for input from all levels of hockey - from governing bodies, leagues and players to parents, coaches and fans,” said Bob Nicholson, President, Hockey Canada. “If you have a strong opinion or ideas to help improve the game we want you at the World Hockey Summit.”

The Summit’s theme, “Global Teamwork Promoting the Growth of the Game”, will be brought to life through interactive seminars, presentations, and discussions led by a who’s who of the global hockey world from the IIHF, NHL, NHLPA, Hockey Canada, USA Hockey, and the CHL. Perspectives will also be shared by a number of current and former NHL players.

The Summit kicks off on Monday, August 23 with a reception followed by a series of interactive “hot stove” sessions at the Hockey Hall of Fame. The sessions will address the state of the game on a variety of levels around the world.
