Saint John, NB – Boston Pizza and Hockey Canada’s Atlantic Regional Centre have joined forces to promote fair play and respect in hockey rinks across Atlantic Canada.

“We have been working with Boston Pizza over the last two years on various projects and we are very pleased that they have agreed to partner with us on this special initiative,” stated Trevor Murphy, Manager of Hockey Canada’s Atlantic Regional Centre. “Boston Pizza is a first class company and we are excited to have them on board with us as we promote the important values of fair play and respect to all minor hockey players around Atlantic Canada.”

Minor Hockey Teams around Atlantic Canada will have the chance to win prizing from Boston Pizza and Hockey Canada’s Atlantic Regional Centre as part of this promotion. If a Minor Hockey Team has a penalty free game, then they are being asked to submit a copy of their game sheet to the Hockey Canada Atlantic Regional Centre office. At the end of the month, two game sheets will be drawn and the selected teams will receive a complimentary team meal at a Boston Pizza location in their province. As well, all teams that submit their game sheets will receive a special certificate from Hockey Canada’s Atlantic Regional Centre to commemorate the great accomplishment of having a penalty free game and the team’s willingness to promote fair play and respect. At the end of the season, one game sheet will be drawn from all received and the selected team will receive a special Hockey Canada Atlantic Regional Centre package and a team meal, compliments of Boston Pizza.

“Boston Pizza believes very strongly in supporting the youth of our region,” said Katie Gillingham, Marketing Manager with Boston Pizza in Atlantic Canada. “This is a program which we certainly feel is a positive step in further promoting the messages of fair play and respect among the many young athletes that are playing hockey throughout our region. With Boston Pizza restaurants around Atlantic Canada, if a selected team does not have a restaurant in their hometown, then we will be look to welcome them on one of their road trips to a neighboring area. We certainly look forward to hosting teams at our restaurants over the coming months and celebrating the great accomplishments of these players and their coaches.”

Teams can submit their game sheets to Hockey Canada’s Atlantic Regional Centre by fax (506) 652-6641 or via e-mail [email protected]
