(Vancouver, BC) – Hockey Canada and Nike Bauer Hockey today unveiled the One Jersey program to support youth hockey across Canada. The program, with the headline of “One Jersey Fits Us All,” donates a portion of Nike Team Canada jersey sales, until March 1st, to the Canadian Hockey Foundation and also provides hockey fans a unique opportunity to show their support for Team Canada through an engaging online experience.

The One Jersey web site (www.OneJersey.ca) allows visitors to join the fabric of Team Canada by adding their name to the list of fans who have pledged their support to Team Canada. Visitors can scroll through the names of fellow Canadians who have joined the roster and also watch an exclusive video that demonstrates the passion and dedication associated with supporting Team Canada.

“Although we all come from vastly different backgrounds and regions, we all share a common thread – we are all Team Canada,” said Bob Nicholson, President, Hockey Canada. “The One Jersey program is a great way for fans across Canada to join in the excitement created from the World Junior Championship as well as the anticipation around Team Canada as we prepare for Turin. By donating a portion of jersey sales to the Canadian Hockey Foundation, the One Jersey program allows us to utilize the incredible support of Team Canada to help fund the sport of hockey throughout the country.”

In addition to providing an opportunity to show support for Team Canada, visitors to the One Jersey web site can get an inside look into the development of the Nike Swift Hockey Jersey. The site provides an overview of how – and why – the revolutionary jersey was created for Team Canada and other countries throughout the world. A culmination of more than two years of research, testing and feedback from some of the world’s greatest hockey players and federations, the Swift Hockey Jersey reduces overall uniform weight, adds increased mobility and comfort while making the jersey aerodynamically the most advanced in the world.

“We worked closely with Team Canada as we developed the Nike Swift jersey and we are excited to show the rest of the country the process behind this revolutionary new uniform through the One Jersey web site,” said Chris Zimmerman, CEO and President, Nike Bauer Hockey. “We are also excited to donate a portion of all Nike Team Canada jersey sales to youth organizations in our ongoing effort to support the game at the grassroots level. It is an exciting time for Team Canada and we are happy to help fans show their support for their team and country.”

Nike Bauer Hockey and Hockey Canada will donate $1 for every Nike Team Canada jersey sold through . The Nike Swift Team Canada replica jersey is available at sporting good stores, licensed product retailers and specialty shops across Canada. Manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of the replica jersey is $119.99.
