TORONTO, ON – Team Canada faces the Slovakians tonight at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario. The game is a do-or-die situation for both teams as the loser of the game is done. If Canada wins, they will play the semi-final in Toronto on Saturday, September 11 versus the Czech Republic. The other semi-final would be Finland versus the USA in Minnesota on Friday, September 10.

If the Slovakians win, they will face Finland in Toronto on Saturday, and the Czechs would travel to Minnesota to face the USA on Friday, September 10. Finland qualified for the semi-finals when they defeated Germany 2-1 in the quarter finals. The Czechs qualified by virtue of a 6-1 win over the Swedes. In the other quarter final, the USA beat the Russians 5-3 to lock up their spot in the semi finals.

The World Cup of Hockey Championship game will be played at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto on Tuesday, September 14.
