CALGARY, ALBERTA – Forward Randall Gelech, of the WHL's Kelowna Rockets, has been added to Canada's National Junior Team Development Camp roster, Hockey Canada and the Canadian Hockey League announced on Thursday. Gelech will replace injured forward Ryan Keller, of the WHL's Saskatoon Blades. As per National Junior Team policy, Keller will still attend the development camp but cannot take part in on-ice practices and intersquad games due to recent shoulder surgery.

Canada's National Junior Team's Development Camp runs from August 9-18, 2003 in Calgary, AB, and will host 45 of the best Canadian junior aged players born in 1984 or later.

Gelech, 18, has previous experience with Hockey Canada's Program of Excellence, as played for Team Western at the 2001 World Under-17 Challenge in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. Gelech, a native of Elfros, SK, captured a WHL Championship as a member of the Rockets this past season, and played at the 2003 Memorial Cup. In last weekend's NHL draft, Gelech was selected by the Phoenix Coyotes, in the 7th round, 209th overall.

The 2004 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship will run from December 26- in Helsinki and Hameenlinna, Finland.
