Ticket Options Announced in Sydney

SYDNEY, NOVA SCOTIA - The Canadian Hockey Association announced Tuesday that there are flexible options for those who want to purchase tickets for Group "A" of the 2003 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship in Sydney, N.S.

The 2003 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship is taking place in both Halifax and Sydney from December 26th through January 5th.

Centre 200, in Sydney, N.S., will be the host venue for 10 games from December 26-31, 2002 of the World Junior Championship. Sydney will be hosting Group "A", featuring teams from Russia, Switzerland, United States, Slovakia and Belarus.

An eleven game ticket package for all games in Sydney, which includes the December 20th Team Canada exhibition game and all 10 Group "A" games, is now on sale for $265 (tax exempt). Those who have already purchased a 10 game ticket package in Sydney can reserve and purchase a Team Canada - Slovakia game ticket now for $15 each. Ticket packages for Sydney are available at the Centre 200 office only by calling (902) 564-2200.

A four game mini pack goes on sale on November 20th, at the Centre 200 box office only, at a cost of $96 (tax exempt). The mini pack will feature the Team Canada exhibition game; the December 26th game between Russia and the United States; December 27th's contest between Slovakia and Belarus; and the Russia – Slovakia game on December 28th.

Single game tickets, if available, go on sale on December 10th at a cost of $30 each and can be purchased at any Select-A-Seat outlet.

If single tickets are still available for the December 20th exhibition game between Team Canada and Slovakia, they will be available from Select-A-Seat outlets on December 19th at a cost of $15 each.

Canada's first game at the 2003 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championship will take place on December 26th in Halifax versus Sweden. TSN/RDS will broadcast all of Canada's preliminary round games from Halifax – check local listings for details.
