Hockey Canada’s Atlantic Regional Centre, established on April 20, 1995, is
both an administrative hockey development body and a resource facility located in Saint John, New Brunswick,
serving the four Atlantic provinces.
Administratively, Hockey Canada’s Atlantic Regional Centre is primarily responsible for the coordination of
hockey development programs serving the 55,000 registered participants of the Atlantic (HNB, HNL, HNS,
HPEI).
The Atlantic Regional Centre operates the following programs:
• Atlantic Challenge Cup
• male U17 and female U18 Team Atlantic programs
• Hockey Canada Skills Development Camps
• coaching clinics
• speciality clinics
• branch training seminars
The Atlantic Regional Centre in Saint John, New Brunswick includes the Charles Hay Memorial Resource Library,
consisting of approximately 500 instructional videos, an assembly area for local clinics and special events,
a display of Atlantic Canada hockey trophies and the administrative offices for Hockey Canada’s Atlantic
Regional Centre.
The financial support for Hockey Canada’s Atlantic Regional Centre is provided by the four provincial amateur
hockey associations, the New Brunswick provincial government and other local sponsors secured by the Atlantic
Regional Centre. A significant portion of the financing of Hockey Canada’s Atlantic Regional Centre is
generated through participant registration fees for the various hockey development programs.
