A four-goal second period turned a tight, one-goal game into a runaway as
Canada topped the Russians for gold for the second year in a row. Brandon Gormley, Jeffrey Skinner and Tyler
Seguin had two goals each.

Eight players scored at least one goal and 11 registered a point as Canada
booked a spot in the gold medal game vs. Russia with a rout of the Czechs. Louis Domingue made 23 saves to
record the shutout.

Tyler Toffoli’s second period power-play goal stood up as the winner as Canada
survived a tough test from the Swiss to stay unbeaten. Canadian captain John McFarland scored twice to pace
the offence.

Canada’s second-leading scorer at the 2009 IIHF World Under-18 Championship as
an underaged player, John McFarland will wear the ‘C’ as captain of the National Men’s Summer Under-18 Team.

Tyler Seguin scored Canada’s third power play goal of the game midway through
the third period as Canada started its road towards a fifth tournament title in six years with a narrow win
over Sweden.

The top line of John McFarland, Tyler Seguin and Tyler Toffoli combined for 11
points as Canada wrapped up a perfect pre-tournament schedule with a convincing win over the tournament
co-hosts.

Canada scored three times on the power play, including twice with two-man
advantages, and scored four times in the second period as it opened pre-tournament play with a win over the
Americans.

Seven different players scored goals, led by a pair from Jaden Schwartz, as Red
wrapped up a sweep of the intersquad games with a rout of White. John McFarland added a goal and two
assists.

Brooks Macek and Ryan O’Connor scored 18 seconds apart to cap a three-goal
first period as Red held off White in the final 40 minutes to earn its second intersquad victory in as many
nights.

Jaden Schwartz, the lone Junior A player in camp, scored twice and linemates
Christian Thomas and Cédrick Henley had two assists each as Red built a three-goal lead en route to the
