CALGARY, Alta. – Hockey Canada, in partnership with Egg Farmers of Canada (EFC), is pleased to announce
that the EGGStreme Hockey Power Pack program is back for another year. As in previous seasons, the program
will offer free prize packs loaded with Hockey Canada-branded prizes for lucky players, fans and tournament
organizers.

Building on the success of past seasons, the 2010 packs will include many of the same popular items:
- Hockey Canada toques for tournament champions
- Thundersticks for fans
- an official Hockey Canada national team jersey for prizing or fundraising
- a roll of Hockey Canada “Get Cracking” hockey tape
- a Hockey Canada EGGStreme tattoo
- an activity sheet for participating players
New for 2010 is the EGGStraordinary Hockey Mom Prize Pack. At each tournament, one lucky hockey mom will
win a warm fleece blanket, comfy seat cushion and stylish travel mug to help her stay warm this hockey
season. This year’s tournaments will also receive the new Eggs: All in Good Fun recipe booklet featuring six
kid-friendly recipes.
Registration for the 2010 program will open in early October on Hockey Canada’s website and the deadline
for minor hockey associations to register is October 31, 2009. A minimum of 75 tournaments – in the Novice
and Atom divisions – will be chosen to receive the EGGStreme Hockey Power Pack this season. Tournaments must
be scheduled between January and April 2010. To register your tournament for the EGGstreme Hockey Power Pack
program, please fill out the registration form above.
Following the deadline, a selection committee comprised of Hockey Canada and EFC representatives will
choose at least 75 tournaments as winning entries. Efforts will be made to spread the program across the
country, offering the opportunity to all of Hockey Canada’s branches. The winners will be announced in
January 2010.
"Egg Farmers of Canada is thrilled to continue supporting this program and promoting the healthy lasting
energy in eggs at local hockey tournaments across the country,” says Tim Lambert, CEO of Egg Farmers of
Canada. “We’re encouraging all minor hockey associations to register for this exciting program!"
