Greg Westlake gave Canada a third-period lead, but the Americans tied the game in the final minute and won it on a shorthanded goal in overtime to leave Canada with silver.

Tommy Rovelstad scored a pair of goals and added an assist to help ensure Norway would not leave Charlottetown empty-handed, as it took bronze with a victory over the Japanese.

Greg Westlake had a natural hat trick to spark the Canadian offence as Canada advanced to the gold medal game at the WSHC again with its third-straight shutout win.

Alexei Salamone scored a pair of goals and Andy Yohe added one of his own as the Americans moved a step closer to Saturday’s gold medal with a win over the Scandinavians.
