CALGARY, Alta. – Hockey Canada, in partnership with the Canadian Hockey League, will host Canada’s
National Junior Team development camp from August 5-10 at the CUC, home of the WHL’s Saskatoon Blades. Red
and White rosters have also been announced for the beginning of camp.
Head coach Willie Desjardins (Climax, Sask./Medicine Hat, WHL), along with associate coach Dave Cameron
(Kincora, P.E.I./Mississauga St. Michael’s, OHL) and assistant coaches Steve Spott (Waterloo, Ont./Kitchener,
OHL) and André Tourigny (Nicolet, Que./Rouyn-Noranda, QMJHL), will lead the Red and White teams through
on-ice practices and two games.
Following the camp, Murray will continue to monitor these players and other eligible players (born in 1990
or later) in league play for the first few months of the 2009-10 season before selecting a group of players
to attend the selection camp in Regina, Sask. in mid-December.

The 2010 IIHF World Junior Championship will be held in Regina and Saskatoon, Sask. from December 26, 2009

Hockey Canada also announced one roster change for the development camp. 2009 IIHF World Junior
Championship gold medalist Stefan Della Rovere (Maple, Ont./Barrie, OHL), a forward, will not be taking part
in on-ice sessions de to a shoulder injury, but will be in attendance at the camp to take part in off-ice
activities. Forward Cody Eakin (Winnipeg, Man./Swift Current, WHL) has been added to the camp roster to fill
the open spot.

Live video and archives on-demand of both Red-White games (August 8, 9) at the National Junior Team
development camp will be available for purchase exclusively through FastHockey on the new Hockey Canada TV
