Preparations for the 2010 RBC Cup are off and running in Dauphin, Man. Dressing rooms and media booths are
being upgraded and constructed at Credit Union Place (CUP) and signs have begun popping up across the city as
it gets set to host the 40th National Junior A Championship.
Members of Dauphin’s Noon Hour Hockey League have donated their time and expenses to upgrade two dressing
rooms at CUP, in addition to the two rooms they donated to the facility over the past few years. When the
upgrades are completed there will be five fully-furnished dressing rooms, ensuring all of the participating
teams at the 2010 RBC Cup feel like they are at home on the road.
The construction of two media booths on the south side of CUP is well underway. The booths will double the
media seating in the facility, joining the existing two booths on the north side. All four booths will have
glass cases installed in the lower portion to showcase memorabilia from Dauphin’s rich heritage of sport.
A number of signs are up in Dauphin, including a large banner on the northwest side of CUP. Additional
signage will be introduced throughout the summer, leading up to the first puck drop of the 2009-10 season for
the host Dauphin Kings. |
