The objectives of the BHP Billiton Family Hockey Fest are to
provide a unique, family oriented, hockey-themed, entertainment experience for the fans of the 2010 IIHF
World Junior Championship. It will showcase all aspects and levels of hockey – from minor through junior on
to the NHL – and will create a high-quality experience that will entertain hockey fans and the general public
leading up to the World Juniors in a fun and festive fashion.

The BHP Billiton Family Hockey Fest will be hosted in two locations,
one in Saskatoon from December 17-22, 2009 and the other in Regina from December 26-31, 2009.
Saskatoon’s Family Hockey Fest will be held at Centennial Hall in TCU Place
(20,000 square feet), while Regina’s will be held at Evraz Place and both will run for six consecutive days.
It will be a great opportunity for families to take a break from the hustle and bustle of the Christmas
season to come and enjoy themselves.
The BHP
Billiton Family Hockey Fest will provide high-quality entertainment for the entire family with interactive
exhibits/games/booths/displays, simulated on-ice demonstrations, minor and special hockey events, the history
of hockey and equipment and sponsor promotional programs.
The BHP Billiton Family Hockey Fest will see schools and minor hockey teams
adopting a team and country from the 2010 IIHF World Junior Championship and presenting these teams with the
fruits of their research along with ‘Welcome to Canada’ posters.
Admission to the BHP Billiton 2010 IIHF World Junior Championship is free. Hours of operation will be
announced in the fall.
