Created to showcase the talent in Canada’s 10 Junior A leagues, the World Junior A Challenge debuted in Yorkton and Humboldt, SK in 2006. Canada West has appeared in all three gold medal games, winning twice, while Canada East is a two-time silver medalist.

The 2009 World Junior A Challenge was held November 1-8 in Summerside, P.E.I.

With five teams and more than 100 players representing Canada, the future of Canadian hockey is on display at the World Under-17 Hockey Challenge. The first step in Hockey Canada’s Program of Excellence, the under-17 level has produced hundreds of NHL draft picks.

The 2010 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge is scheduled for December 29-January 4 in Timmins, ON

Since 1971, teams from across Canada have fought for the National Junior A Championship. This season, more than 140 teams from 10 leagues – from Port Alberni, BC to Woodstock, NB – will play for the right to take to the ice at the 2010 RBC Cup.

The 2010 RBC Cup is scheduled for May 1-9 in Dauphin, Man.

One of the oldest national championships in the country, Canada’s best Senior AAA teams compete every year for the Allan Cup. In its 102 years of existence, teams from every province, as well as the Yukon and the United States, have claimed the Allan Cup.
