Meet the Coaches and Special Canadian Jr A Hockey League Announcement
Friday May 2, 2008
A media event will be held in Salon A at the Cornwall Civic Complex to kick start the 2008 RBC Cup. All coaches and captains will be in attendance. And the CJAHL will be making a major announcement for Jr A Hockey in Canada. Join us at 5:30pm on Friday at the Civic Complex.

Opening Ceremonies
Saturday, May 3rd, 2008

The Opening Ceremonies will be held on the ice surface at the Cornwall Civic Complex on Saturday, May 3rd at 1:00 pm. The ceremonies feature music and entertainment, introduction of all RBC Cup participating teams, and a ceremonial puck drop. Admission to the ceremonies is free to all, however tickets are required. They can be obtained at the Cornwall Civic Complex Box Office.

World Champion Sledge Hockey Team Members – Free Skate
Friday May 9th, 2008
Join members of Team Canada’s National Sledge Hockey Team – who have just came back from winning Gold at the World Championships on ice at the Cornwall civic Complex at 3:30 Friday May 9th. Bring your skates and try your skills with Canada’s best. You will be able to test your Sledge Hockey talents too, so don’t miss out on your chance to skate with Canada’s best. You will be amazed, just how good they are.

This is a free event, and people of all ages are welcome.

RBC Cup National Awards Banquet
Friday, May 9th, 2008

The awards banquet will be held in the Salons of the Cornwall Civic Complex on Friday, May 9th – Cocktails at 6 pm and dinner at 7 pm. During the banquet Hockey Canada will recognize the top Junior A Hockey Players in Canada. The evening will also feature Guest Speaker Marc Crawford, Head Coach of the Los Angeles Kings. Marc certainly has ties to Cornwall as he played for the Memorial Cup winning Cornwall Royals.

A limited number of tickets are available for $50 each and can be purchased at the Corner Store located at the arena entrance or the Cornwall Civic Complex Box Office.

RBC Olympian Jennifer Botterill in Cornwall to celebrate the RBC Cup
Sunday May 11
Sunday May 11th as part of Championship Sunday and Mothers Day, Jennifer Botterill will be on hand to sign autographs and drop the puck for the Championship game. Jennifer is a member of the Canadian Women’s National Hockey Team, and is a two time Olympic Gold Medalists as well as a 5 time World Champion.

Silent Auction
May 3rd to 11th, 2008
Throughout the entire tournament the Silent Auction will be open. The Auction features many hockey memorabilia items such as – Toronto Maple Leafs Jersey signed by Chad Kilger and another signed by Tomas Kaberle, an LA Kings Jersey signed by Anze Kopitar, a Hockey Canada backpack stuffed with many different Hockey Canada items, a game played hockey stick signed by Paul Ranger of the Tampa Bay Lightning, signed photographs, hotel overnights in luxury suites, and many other items. Be sure to stop by and take a look!

Sidney Crosby Autographed Print Raffle
Complete with a Certificate of Authenticity, one lucky winner will walk away with this beautiful Sidney Crosby Print. Tickets ($2 each) will be on sale throughout the Championship at the Corner Store at the entrance to the arena. The draw will be made during the third period of the Championship Game.

50/50 Draw
During the Opening Ceremonies and each game, we will conduct a 50/50 draw with tickets sold at the Corner Store. Sales people will also sell 50/50 tickets throughout the arena. All tickets are 3 for $2 – the winning ticket will be drawn just after the start of the third period.

FANFEST

Fanfest is located on the lower level concourse and features interactive activities and fun for all. Admission to the Fanfest area is free for everyone.
