With the hours ticking away until the first puck drops at the 2008 RBC Cup, the host organizing committee
is working hard to finalize sponsorship agreements for the National Junior A Championship.
“This
is certainly an event of importance for the City of Cornwall,” said Cornwall mayor Bob Kilger. “This is a
national championship that will bring more than 100 players and many visitors from across Canada to our
community. The committee has been working hard for the past year to organize the championship, and many
businesses have stepped up to support their efforts. I encourage everyone to support this event and show the
nation our level of community pride.”
Hermann Rogalsky, who is leading the sponsorship sales push, has been busy contacting various businesses
with the array of sponsorships - from the ‘Event in a Box’ for $500, which includes event t-shirts, ticket
packages, posters and a display box, all the way through the ‘Friends of the Cup’ at $1,500 and into bronze,
silver and gold sponsorships.
“With only a month to go to the opening puck drop, many businesses are scrambling to be sure they are
involved in this fantastic event,” said Rogalsky. “Our ‘Event in a Box’ and ‘Friends of the Cup’ levels are
quite popular, and they are affordable for even a small business. Both provide shirts and tickets that can be
shared with employees and customers, without breaking the bank.”
