The puck dropped on the pre-tournament schedule ahead of the 2008 IIHF World Women’s Under-18 Championship
on Thursday night in Okotoks, and Finland came out ready to play.
Johanna Juutilainen scored just 89 seconds after the opening face-off, but the Finns trailed 3-1 after one
period and 6-2 after 40 minutes on their way to a 7-4 loss to the Alberta Major Midget Female Hockey League

Chiefs led the way for the All-Stars with two goals apiece, and both also added an assist in the win.
Kendice Ogilvie of Red Deer, Kaitlin Reniak of the Medicine Hat Renegade Oilfield Hounds and Julie Johnson
of the Calgary Flyers also scored for the Albertans, who outshot the Finns 33-27.
