CALGARY, AB – The top five Junior A hockey teams in the nation are set to meet in Prince George, BC for
the 2007 RBC Royal Bank Cup.
The host Prince George Spruce Kings of the BCHL will be joined by the Pembroke Lumber Kings (CJHL, Team
East), Aurora Tigers (OPJHL, Team Central), Camrose Kodiaks (AJHL, Team Pacific) and Selkirk Steelers (MJHL,
Team West) at the event, which runs from May 5th to May 13th.
“RBC has been a premier sponsor of Hockey Canada since 1995,” said Dale Freschi, RBC regional vice
president, B.C. North. “Through this long-time partnership, we at RBC are thrilled to be able to bring
Canada’s National Junior A Championship to Prince George. This community is home to some of Canada’s most
passionate hockey fans, and we are looking forward to making this RBC Royal Bank Cup the best ever.”
The tournament kicks off with the host Prince George Spruce Kings taking on the Pembroke Lumber Kings on
Saturday at 7 p.m. PST. That game is expected to be well attended, so fans are urged to get their tickets
now. Single game tickets for all 13 games are available through Ticketmaster.
The two semi-finals will be held on May 12th, with the gold medal game being held on May 13th. The final,
which will start at 4:30 p.m. PST, will be shown live on TSN, Hockey Canada’s official broadcaster.
All other games are available via webcast at www.hockeycanada.ca. The webcast is $6.95 per game.
TICKETS
Tickets for the round-robin games are just $15 and fans can get into the two semi-finals for $20.
Tickets for the gold medal game are $25.
