HOCKEY CANADA/PRINCE GEORGE HOST COMMITTEE TO WEBCAST 2007 RBC ROYAL BANK CUP GAMES

PRINCE GEORGE, BC – Hockey Canada, in partnership with the host committee of the 2007 RBC Royal Bank Cup, has announced that all of the games, with the exception of the gold medal game, at this year’s National Junior A Championship, which runs from May 5-13, 2007 in Prince George, BC, will be available via webcast.

The webcast is $6.95 per game, and can be accessed from the front page of the Hockey Canada website at ww.hockeycanada.ca.

The webcasts will begin with the tournament-opening Prince George Spruce Kings vs. Pembroke Lumber Kings game at 7:00 p.m. PT on Saturday, May 5 and run through the semi-finals on Saturday, May 12 at 2:00 p.m. PT and 7:00 p.m. PT.

“INSINC is pleased to be working again with Hockey Canada to webcast the 2007 RBC Royal Bank Cup,” said Jayne McCaw Gilbert, VP of Sales for INSINC, who will be providing the webcasts. “Last mile broadband connections to the home continue to get better, resulting in better quality webcasts, now almost rivaling traditional TV broadcasts. And with consumers increasingly plugging computers into TV sets, we expect demand for this type of hockey viewing to only increase.”

“We are very pleased to be providing a webcast of a number of the games at the 2007 RBC Royal Bank Cup,” said Dan Rogers, co-chair of the event. “The interest in this tournament is nationwide, and between Hockey Canada’s relationship with INSINC, our partnership with PGTV, who will be providing the video, and the commitment and experience of Ron Gallo, who is coordinating the broadcasts, we are confident that all fans with access to a computer will have a fabulous 2007 RBC Royal Bank Cup experience.”

The gold medal game will be broadcast LIVE on TSN/RDS, the official broadcaster of Hockey Canada, on Sunday, May 13. Check your local listings for broadcast times in your area.

All of the webcasted games will originate from the CN Centre in Prince George, BC, which is hosting Canada’s 37th National Junior A Championship.

Single-game tickets for round-robin games are now available for just $15, with the price to get into the semi-finals at $20 and the final at $25.

Other options are available to hockey fans, including tournament packages, which include all games, starting at $195 and a limited number of McDonald’s Rookie Zone packs, which are for fans 12 and under and include all games. Those sell for $50.

All tickets are available through Ticketmaster.
