8:36.
The Patriotes poured on the pressure following their first goal, leading to another goal minutes later by
forward Antoine Laganiere.
Penalties to Chateauguay’s Frederic DesRoches and Vincent Kolland in the 10th minute led to a
five-on-three battle that ended scoreless.
A penalty by St. John’s captain Brad Bussey led to a well executed Chateauguay power-play. After about
half a minute of setting up, defenceman Jordan Dewey let go a slapshot that deflected off two players,
landing on the stick of forward Jason Chaput for Chateauguay’s third goal.

Alexandre Leduc. The first period ended 4-0 Chateauguay.
St. John’s replaced goalie Kyle Downer with Evan Mosher between the first and second period.
A slew of penalties in the second led to some odd man chances for both teams before Chateauguay began
applying pressure.
Mosher faced three tough shots before St. John’s headed up the ice to net their first goal of the game, a
beautiful deflection by forward Jon Reid from Nick Bray.
A four on three power play for St. John’s ended in a goal by defenceman Justin Pender with less than 20
seconds on the clock.
Applying tremendous pressure, St.John’s battled out the dying seconds of the second in the offensive end
until forward Jon Reid squeaked one past Chateauguay’s goalie in the final second, making it 4-3.
A bad rebound by St.John’s led to Chateauguay’s fifth goal, scored short handed by forward Simon
Yves-Lazure.
A bad clearing attempt by St. John’s goalie led to Chateauguay’s sixth goal, scored short handed by Jordan
Dewey after Chateauguay goalie Mosher fumbled the puck off Dewey, into the net.
St. John’s scored one more goal before the end of the game, a shot from the slot from Pender.
Most valuable players were Jon Reid and Jordan Dewey.
