ESSO MEDALS PROGRAM KICKS OFF!
The Esso Medals of Achievement program lauched on October 1st. Through the program, three
medals of achievement – most improved player, most dedicated player, and most sportsmanlike player – are
available to every hockey team registered with Hockey Canada. As well, each team can receive certificates of
participation to recognize the efforts of every player.

CANADA’S NEW GOVERNMENT DELIVERS FOR CANADIAN ATHLETES
The Honourable Jim Prentice, Minister of Industry, announced that Canada’s New Government will consider
the Centre of Sport Excellence in Calgary, Alberta as a priority for funding of up to one-third of eligible
